Prices, Engines & Trim Levels
The 2025 Kia EV6 continues to sit in the heart of the mid-size electric crossover market, competing with cars such as the Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Prices now start at around £45,000, with higher trims and performance versions stretching beyond £55,000.
The range remains built around Kia’s E-GMP platform but the 2025 update introduces revised battery technology. The previous 77.4kWh battery has been replaced by a new 84kWh unit, improving usable range and efficiency without altering the car’s proportions. This change alone makes the updated EV6 more competitive against newer rivals.
Powertrain options include rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive, allowing buyers to choose between efficiency focused or performance oriented setups. Even the rear-wheel-drive versions deliver strong acceleration, while AWD models provide impressive traction and confidence in poor conditions.
Trim levels include Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S, each stepping up in equipment and visual drama. Air models focus on value and efficiency, while GT-Line versions introduce sportier styling, larger wheels and enhanced interior finishes. GT-Line S adds features such as a panoramic sunroof, premium audio and advanced driver assistance systems.
At the top sits the EV6 GT, unchanged mechanically for 2025 but still notable. With its high performance dual-motor setup and aggressive chassis tuning, it remains one of the most extreme EVs on sale, though it serves a very different audience to the rest of the range.
