Prices, Engines & Trim Levels
In the UK, the Mustang Mach-E now sits firmly in the heart of the mid-to-upper electric SUV market, with pricing that reflects both its performance ambitions and its generous standard equipment. As of 2025, brand-new Mach-E models typically start at around £46,000, with higher output versions stretching comfortably beyond £60,000.
The range begins with the Standard Range Rear-Wheel Drive, which pairs a smaller battery with a single motor driving the rear axle. Priced from roughly £46,000–£48,000, it offers the lightest, most agile feel in the lineup. It’s not the longest range Mach-E but it feels alert and responsive in everyday driving, and for many urban or mixed use drivers, it makes plenty of sense.
Move up to the Extended Range Rear-Wheel Drive and the Mach-E starts to show its best side. With prices typically beginning around £52,000, this version combines a larger battery with strong efficiency and smooth, unstrained performance. It’s the version that feels happiest on long motorway journeys, delivering range that inspires confidence without demanding a change in driving habits.
Adding all-wheel drive brings extra traction and urgency. The Extended Range AWD version usually sits around £55,000 and it suits drivers who want more assertive acceleration or who regularly drive in wet, cold or rural conditions. The trade off is slightly reduced efficiency but the payoff is a more planted, secure feel.
At the top of the tree sits the Mach-E GT, Ford’s most performance focused take on the formula. With prices typically north of £60,000, it delivers dramatic acceleration and firmer chassis tuning. It’s fast enough to feel genuinely thrilling but also the most specialised, sacrificing ride comfort and range in favour of excitement.
Rather than a trim brochure defined by equipment alone, the Mach-E range is best understood as a spectrum of driving characters, each tuned with a different balance of pace, comfort and confidence.
