Prices, Engines & Trim Levels
The Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric is positioned as a mid-market EV, priced to sit between compact electric hatchbacks and larger family SUVs. As of 2025, prices typically start at around £36,000, with higher-spec versions rising to £41,000–£42,000.
The range is structured around two battery options, each shaping the car’s role quite differently. The entry level model uses a 40kWh battery, aimed at drivers whose usage is primarily urban or suburban. This version focuses on keeping costs down while still delivering the smooth, quiet experience expected of an EV.
Most buyers will naturally gravitate toward the EV60, which uses a 60kWh battery and offers much greater flexibility. Pricing for the EV60 generally begins in the high £30,000s, placing it directly against rivals like the Volkswagen ID.3 Pro, Cupra Born and Peugeot e-308. In this company, the Mégane positions itself as the more dynamically focused option.
Trim levels include Equilibre, Techno and Iconic. Even Equilibre models come well equipped, with dual digital displays, adaptive cruise control, smartphone integration and a comprehensive set of safety systems. Techno trims add larger wheels, upgraded materials and additional driver assistance, while Iconic versions introduce premium touches such as leather upholstery, advanced lighting and further safety technology.
Importantly, Renault avoids forcing buyers into top trims to unlock essential features. The mid-range Techno trim feels complete rather than compromised, which is why it represents the best balance of price and equipment.
