Prices, Engines & Trim Levels
The Omoda E5 is available in two main UK specifications: Knight and Noble. Prices start at approximately £33,065 for the Knight, with the Noble costing around £34,565. These are manufacturer on-the-road prices before considering any applicable discounts or finance offers. Both versions use the same electric powertrain, consisting of a battery with approximately 61kWh gross capacity and a front-mounted electric motor producing 211PS, equivalent to approximately 208bhp. Power is delivered to the front wheels through a single-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0–62mph takes approximately 7.6 seconds, providing performance comparable with several more expensive electric SUVs. Official WLTP range is up to 267 miles, although the precise figure can vary according to specification and equipment.
The Knight includes a substantial selection of features, such as alloy wheels, LED lighting, digital instrumentation, a central touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, climate control and numerous driver assistance systems. It is a well-equipped entry-level model, particularly compared with manufacturers that reserve desirable features for expensive option packs. The Noble adds further comfort and convenience equipment, including heated seats, a heated steering wheel, upgraded interior appointments and additional technology. A heat pump is also an important consideration for drivers regularly using the car in colder weather. For a relatively modest price difference, the Noble offers a more complete package. It is the version we would recommend, particularly for buyers planning to keep the car for several years. However, the E5's pricing places it close to some very capable alternatives. Buyers should compare the Omoda's final purchase or finance cost with the Kia EV3 and Hyundai Kona Electric rather than relying solely on the advertised list price.
